In the first game between the teams the Rebels started this winning streak with an overtime win over the Gators. The Rebels won that game 77-67 in overtime led by Madison Scott with 27 points and 12 rebounds.

Scott led three players in double figures with Marquesha Davis (22 points and 10 rebounds) and Kennedy Todd-Williams (18 points and nine rebounds) contributing to the win. The Rebels came back from down eight points at the half and five points heading into the final period to force overtime.

For the Gators, the starters were held in check combining for 33 points and shooting just 41.3% from the field. Aliyah Matharu led the team in scoring coming off the bench with 24 points going 3-8 from three and 5-5 from the free-throw line in the loss. If this game is anything like the first matchup then the final quarterfinal of the SEC Tournament is going to be filled with fireworks.
